Can anyone be hypnotised?
The answer to this question is yes - that's if you are able to relax and you're open to believing in the changes which can be made through hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind through suggestion therapy. All hypnosis is self hypnosis.
What does being hypnotised feel like and is it safe?
Hypnotic trance is completely natural. It happens to us all on a daily basis, for example when we daydream, think about something in our mind, when engrossed in a good book or watching a good film, doing work when we're on 'auto pilot', and driving and not remembering parts of the journey.
Yes, hypnotherapy is safe. You will be in the same state when you leave as you were when you first arrived at the session. There are no 'side effects' , however, you may feel more exhilarated, relaxed or a little tired at the beginning of coming out of trance.
Is my therapy session confidential?
Yes, absolutely! I am bound by the same ethical code of practice as other health workers and I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHR registered).
Do I have to have any pain medically investigated before deciding on whether to make an appointment?
Yes! Any new pain needs to first be examined by a medical professional. If the pain is old and lingering after seeking medical investigation/advice, and there can be no reason found for the pain, it may be that there is trapped emotion associated with this pain, which the subconscious mind is holding on to. This is when OldPain2Go can help.
I am professionally qualified, undertake regular CPD training and have full insurance cover.
